Cassia is a versatile fully lined halter design with a clean, minimal silhouette and open back. The neckline and back are fully adjustable, with the choice of lace-up ties, elastic, or metal hardware for a personalized fit and finish.
This pattern includes multiple views: a crop top, a longer top with an asymmetric hem, a peplum top, and a gathered waist dress—making it easy to adapt to your style or the season. Wear it on its own in warm weather or layer it over a button-up or long sleeve for cooler days.
The bodice is shaped with princess seams and is intended to fit close to the body. As with any fitted garment, making a toile is recommended to get the best possible fit for your shape.

The Cassia Top was designed with a variety of fabrics in mind. It has been tested in midweight cottons, linen, 20% stretch lightweight denim (6oz), non-stretch denim, crepe, and viscose. Ideally you want something that has a little bit of give and softness to it, but ultimately you have the final say! If you are using a heavier fabric I recommend lining the top in a lightweight cotton (or similar). Also note, if making a dress, heavier fabrics will add weight to the garment and likely pull the back of the skirt down.
